The right person, at the right place.
Turn on selfies and the first punch-in of each day comes with a photo taken in the app. Nobody punches for a friend, and nobody has to queue at a machine.
GPS proves where the phone is. A selfie proves who is holding it.
Three steps, set up once.
- 1
Turn selfies on
One switch in your attendance settings. Leave it off if location alone is enough for your business.
- 2
Staff take a selfie as they punch in
The camera opens inside the app at the first punch-in of the day. Later punches the same day don’t ask again.
- 3
You see it on the day’s record
The photo sits next to the punch time and place, so a doubtful day is settled in a glance.
A face with every first punch.
- The selfie beside the punch time and workplace
- Photos kept for 90 days, then deleted
- The original stays even if you correct the day
One photo a day, no more.
- Only at the first punch-in of the day
- Taken in the app, not picked from the gallery
- Their photo is used for attendance and nothing else
The rules behind it.
Live photo only
The camera opens inside StaffBee. An old photo from the gallery can’t be used.
Location still applies
A selfie never replaces the geofence. Both have to pass.
Kept 90 days
Selfies are deleted after 90 days, so you don’t store faces longer than you need.
Stored in India
Photos are stored in Mumbai, in your business’s own space.
Questions
Is the selfie needed at every punch?
No, only at the first punch-in of the day. Coming back from lunch doesn’t need another one.
Can I turn selfies off?
Yes. It’s your choice for the whole business, and you can change it any time.
Does StaffBee recognise faces?
No. The photo is there for you to see. StaffBee doesn’t run face recognition on it.
